No. ClearClient is a client document management and record-keeping platform — not a licensed compliance service. It does not make regulatory determinations, replace legal advice, or constitute a formal AML/KYC programme. It helps you collect information consistently, store it securely, and document your decisions clearly. What you do with that information is always your professional responsibility.
How is client data stored and protected? +
All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Client documents are stored in secure cloud storage with access controls. We never sell or share client data with third parties.
Can I brand the intake form with my firm's logo? +
Yes — on the Growth plan and above, you can add your own logo and brand colors to the client-facing intake form. Your clients will see your firm's branding, not ClearClient's.
What types of firms use ClearClient? +
ClearClient is built for US-based small businesses in real estate, mortgage & lending, accounting, legal, insurance, wealth management, auto dealerships, and other client-facing industries that need to know who they're working with.
Does it work for business clients as well as individuals? +
Yes. The intake form has two modes — Individual and Business. Individual mode collects personal details and photo ID. Business mode collects company name, registration documents, tax ID, and a primary contact person. You choose which mode to use when adding a new client, or let the client self-select when they open the intake link.
Do my clients need to create an account or download anything? +
No account, no download, no friction. You send a link — your client opens it in their browser, fills in their details, uploads their ID, and signs the consent notice. Works on any device. Most clients complete it in under 5 minutes.
What happens to my data if I cancel? +
Your data is yours. If you cancel, you have 30 days to export all client files and documents as PDFs before they are permanently deleted from our servers. We will never hold your data hostage or charge you to access it.
